I got a bit of studio time today. I didn't have the right tool for the laburnum seed pod I'm making, so I made one out of a nail. Maybe it'll be a necklace? Sometimes I'm more focused on the desire to make the thing than what the thing will become! Maybe some things will just be sculpture - do people buy sterling silver sculptures? Who knows! I'm also showing off my new tool shelf made yesterday at #ladiesinsheds at AgeUK! (Bath St, Rugby)

It's official! I've been accepted on the #creativespringboard course for February. Thank you to @jessi_illustrates who encouraged me to get in touch with @kerricolliercwrt even though I didn't think I would meet the criteria. 🙂

When I win the lottery I shall buy these buildings off Rugby council & turn them into workshops, studios, gallery, shop, and cafe of course, for all #rugbyartistsandmakers Overlooking Caldecott Park, it would be lovely!

Aargh, big photo of me! It's @justacard Indie Week. Yesterday's prompt was "You" and today's was about getting creative(ish) with the logo. So here I am in a rare-ish selfie, having hot choc after school with the kids. I thought that when the little one started school I would have sooo much time, but I'm still juggling, and dropping all the balls! I recently took a studio space and I'm making renewed efforts to "do having a jewellery business properly". So I make jewellery, but that's partly just because I needed to focus on one aspect of making in order to get anything at all done! More things may come... I got my Just a Card pin before @warwickshireopenstudios in the summer and had it pinned on my jewellery display. I am all for supporting artists, makers and small indie businesses - little things make a big difference, and that is why I started the @rugbyartistsandmakers account. If you've not seen it yet please do go and have a look!
